Sunday, December 18, 2016, First Church of Christ, Scientist,
Edmonton welcomed the whole community to our annual
musical celebration of Christmas.
The
hour-long event began with a short concert of familiar
Christmas selections presented by the musicians of the
church, Judith Richardson and Heather
Maclean, sopranos and Kirk Kryvenchuk,
piano and organ. This year's musical guests are
Shona Mitchell, flute; Wendy Grant,
violin; Carolyn Lambert and
Luba Lubinsky, sopranos; and Paul
Cachia, baritone. The First Church Vocal
Ensemble will also perform.
Following
the concert everyone had a chance to request their favorite
carols as the audience joined the performers for a carol
sing-along. Refreshments were served before and after
the event.
